Arts and Fashion Week Runway: House Of Poplyn: Dreamcatcher
The SS2016 collection [Titled: DreamCatcher] is inspired by colours and patterns from nature. Waves and light reflected by the sea inspire its color scheme while, sea glass and beach glass found in milky hues of aquamarine and rose pink translate into layers forming patterns in a skirt or peeking out of a slit in a dress transforming a simple silhouette into a bohemian art. The scenic views of nature transferred onto fabric make for a beautiful print on a simple shift dress and shorts, turning nature inspired into a walking painting. Colours and patterns with full bodied, multi layered sleeves, dresses and skirts in pastel chiffons mixed with metallic cotton linen challenge the basic shapes of ready to wear pieces and create a landscape out of clothes that inspire serene dreams.
