One of the largest Kpop conventions in Canada, Hallyu North 2016 expo, was being held at the Enercare Centre (Exhibition Place) on last Friday and Saturday. SHINee, the Princes of Kpop appeared for their first time in Toronto. The group consists of five members: Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho and Taemin. The Korean pop music group had performed a small concert in the Heritage Court of the Enercare Centre. The show had been delayed for about one hour and had shortened the length to approximately 30 minutes. Prior to the show, SHINee was expected to have a press conference with the media at the same venue, however, it was being cancelled.

Despite the traveling and long waiting time, the fans were still screaming out loud and cheering with their passion for their idols on the stage. On the other hand, some audiences had complained about the concert was much shorter than their expectation on the Facebook event page.

Besides the concert, Hallyu North expo had also featured various programs, workshops, Youtuber’s meeting booths, movie screenings, Asian food and different vendors at the venue.
