CIVIC HOLIDAY
TIFF Bell Lightbox will screen a selection of films during the August long weekend, including the family-friendly favourite Troop Beverly Hills on July 30 at 11 a.m., Eric Rohmer’s greatest hit in North America set at a Normandy resort in the summer, Pauline at the Beach on July 31 at 4 p.m., and François Truffaut’s poetic comedy Small Change on July 31 at 7 p.m.

SPECIAL GUESTS
Award-winning novelist, memoirist and scholar André Aciman will introduce Eric Rohmer’s Claire’s Knee, an exquisite tale of erotic obsession and moral suspense, on July 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Writer-director Lizzie Borden will introduce her radical feminist underground avant-garde classic Born in Flames (1983), in a newly restored 35mm presentation, as part of The Free Screen on July 26 at 8:45 p.m.
