The annual pillow fight day had been taken place on April’s Fool Day this year. Pillow fighters from young to mature were picking their opponents randomly and swinging their pillow against each other at the Nathan Phillip Square, Toronto.
Toronto is one of the participating cities for this largest flash mob for pillow fights in the world. According to the organizer’s website, one of their goals is to make these unique happenings in public space become a significant part of popular culture, partially replacing passive, non-social, branded consumption experiences like watching television, and consciously rejecting the blight on our cities caused by the endless creep of advertising into public space.
