The annual Korean Harvest Festival took place in the last weekend of August. Hundreds of performers or special guests were singing, dancing or competing in games live on stage at the Mel Lastman Square. Yoo Jini, the young Korean female singer, flew from Korea and made her special performance at the Festival. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee and Jean Yoon, who are from the famous television sitcom Kim’s Convenience, had also made their appearance at the event.

Hangawi, also known as “Korean Harvest Festival”, is a holiday of Thanksgiving for Korean on every 15th day of the 8th month in the lunar calendar. In Korean Tradition, families visit their ancestral hometowns and share traditional food.
