Tea has become a healthy choice for Canadians. Many are switching over from coffee to tea due to all the possible health benefits that have been reported in publications across the world.
Last year at the 2018 Toronto Tea Festival, we had over 3000 attendees and 50 exhibitors over two days. We held our first ever VIP event with a special screening of Jeff Fuch’s The Tea Explorer, along with tea tasting and Q & A with Jeff and film maker Andrew Gregg. It was a special night. This year we have another VIP film screening – a debut of the English translation of Kevin Gascoyne’s (Camellia Sinensis!!! Come on!) CBC produced Darjeeling documentary.
Whether you are a newbie or long time aficionado of tea culture, the 7th Annual Toronto Tea Festival will allow you to enjoy the world of tea from the traditional to the trendy. Hip or nerdy. Find your pleasure.
You can sample hundreds of teas from venders and learn from experts in the industry at one of the many complimentary presentations. Taste a variety of teas uniquely and exquisitely prepared by exhibitors. Note how the flavours may differ depending upon place of origin, processing techniques, and preparation styles.
Shop for all your favourite teawares, teas, and related products. Experience the event to the fullest by engaging with the exhibitors and learning about all things tea.
