You Can See ‘Pink Moon’ In Toronto Next Month

What is ‘Pink Moon’?

According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the full moon appears in April is known as the Pink Moon.  The lunar calendar was being used commonly to track the seasons in ancient times.  Long time ago, native people gave various names to each recurring full moon.  The name comes from one of the spring flowers, moss phlox.  Besides, Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon and the Fish Moon are also being called.  However, you will not going to see the moon in pink.  The full moon will likely appears on April 19, approximately 7:12 am.
